Wolds Gliding Club is two fields away where guests can have a chance to learn to fly.

Walking down the Pocklington Canal is very pleasant or on the Wolds where you find some wonderful distance views of the York Vale or see Flamborough Lighthouse and the rolling hills of the area

There are several long-distance walks – Wolds Way, Minster Way, Chalkland Way

There are some lovely places to cycle on the Wolds and find super cafés for a well-earned rest.

The Way of the Roses Cycle route goes through Pocklington and is an ideal stop over.

Pocklington is a historic market town, here there is the world famous Burnby Hall Gardens, the best water lilies in Europe and a chance to feed the fish and have a lovely snack in the café.

Another world-renowned place is the Arts Centre, this place has had many famous entertainers tread the boards and each week the latest film is shown.

Pocklington and surrounding area are well known for its excellent restaurants.

Fishing is very popular in the East Riding and there are many ponds, canals and rivers to use.

Wild water swimming, or taking part in a triathlon, boating and many other water sports can be done at Allerthorpe Lake Park, only a mile from our site.

East Riding has several bird watching sites, Bempton Cliffs for puffins, Top Hill Low reservoir, North Cave wetlands, Pocklington Canal are places where you can see kingfishers, red kites, buzzards and many other wildlife.

Richard Fuller’s studio is about a fifteen-minute drive away.  Richard is often on television, particularly, Autumn Watch showing the wildlife on his land.  His art studio shows all his latest painting.

York is about fifteen miles away and Beverley, another market town, is about seventeen miles.

Woldsglamping is ideally situated to explore the North Yorkshire Moors, the Coast, the Dales and Lincolnshire.  Actually, you may not have time to do this as there is so much to entertain you in the local area.
